Isnello
Isnello is a small Madonite village located on a cliff at an altitude of 530 meters above sea level that counts less than 2000 inhabitants. It’s known for its wooded landscapes with specimens of monumental trees and its characteristic city center with an Arab structure made up of narrow alleys and sudden changes in slope.
Arriving in Isnello it is pleasant to just walk around the town and discover the inside of some of the numerous churches: the Mother Church, famous for its stuccos, the marble tabernacle and the wooden choir, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with its bell tower covered with colored majolica which houses valuable seventeenth-century paintings, but also the Church of SS. Annunziata and the Church of Maria SS. of the Rosary.
Furthermore, the particular conditions of the territory with some areas that are totally devoid of night lights, made it perfect to create a very important astronomical observatory a few years ago, the international center for astronomical sciences Gal Hassin, which is a worldwide place of study destined also to educational projects.

The restaurant promotes the typical local products of the Madonie area, inspired by an ancient cuisine that exploited seasonal resources, but adding a pinch of creativity during cooking and presentation.
Its specialties are fresh forest mushrooms, homemade bread and fresh pasta, wild vegetables, but La Brace is at the same time a renowned pizzeria, thanks to the rigor of the preparation, starting from the dough, obtained from ancient grains flour and a long leavening of 72 hours.
A place strongly rooted in the territory also from an architectural point of view, with a glass roof at the entrance that allows you to observe the cobblestones of the original base of the building, a glimpse of rural archeology, while the walls are characterized by bare stone and wood.
